Gwen
(Emma Bădulescu) (b. 2001, Pitești, Romania) is a visual artist who works and lives in Bucharest, Romania. She is interested in everything around the words: brutalism, gloomy, power, violence, religions, pleasures, death, magic and how to turn the actions of a damage character into an absurd scene.
During her studies at the National University of Arts, in the painting department, she experiments with different plastic ways from painting to installation and from ceramic to soft sculpture (textiles), using a bloody language which is focusing on the human need for isolation and transformation. In 2022, she had her first solo show, "Floating through an endless dream".
