Ștefan Câlția
Based on the event-exhibition held from October 3rd to December 5th, 2014 at the Art Museum of Timișoara, the album “Ștefan Câlția. Places” gathers over 70 works by the painter, many of which had not been previously exhibited to the general public. The texts included in the album are written by Victor Neumann, Dan C. Mihăilescu, the three young curators of the exhibition – Ioana Mandeal, Sandra Demetrescu, Patricia Bădulescu – and Andrei Teleagă. Far from a classical approach, the authors speak about their own encounters with the artist’s work, delving into some of the essential motifs of his ideational universe.
