An artistic practice of walking sparked a dialogue about the physicality of the process, about endurance, about the reasons you set out on the road, about searching and reflecting on the places passed through, about landscape, even the socio-political context in which the walking takes place.
Svetlana and Michael walk together and in parallel, constantly crossing paths in the effort each makes through walking, about walking and for walking. Svetlana writes in order to imagine a world detached from and transcending immediate proximity through the woman waiting at the bus stop, Werner Herzog’s journey for Lotte and the tolerance of landscape – a pendulum in which Michael is equally reflected.
